Good post. Yeah, Microsoft really does not have a viable desktop virtualization product. I've got a post with more info on the various options for creating 64-bit virtual machines with both MS and non MS products:


I'm been a big fan of VMware since its 2.0 beta days. My friend likes VirtualBox, but he has had some issues with his existing VMs when deploying VirtualBox updates.
